ssdharddriveornotIn recent months we have witnessed the emergence of a new technology, hard drives SSD or Solid State Drive, Which have been integrated into the bases of some models laptops of Apple and netbooks from various manufacturers.

This new technology holds great promise for the future, generally better response time, higher speed writing and reading and zero data loss.

There are already records SSD available to integrate to any team but still have high costs but as we know with increasing demand will lower costs and future big frames of traditional disks are replaced by small pellets of solid discs.

One of the great advantages that have SSD hard drives is their low solid consumption energy, as having no moving parts as traditional disks consume much less power and generate less heat and therefore in a battery-operated equipment (notebooks, netbooks) Its autonomy is enhanced. The same principle coupled with the current promotion teams “green” or environmentally friendly is one of the strengths of the campaigns of the manufacturers.

Also having no moving parts that collide data loss may be much lower or zero, on the other laptop manufacturers have invested heavily in systems development anti-falls blocking the moving parts of hard drives to detect that the computer is about to collide.

Replacing a hard disk SSD is much simpler than a traditional one, first by its size and weight is much lower and that having a connection SATA teams are ready to adopt this new technology.

The traditional hard drive has not changed its principles in more than 20 years, that is why this new technology revolutionizes the present and we are seeing the end of two decades of hard disk traditional.

Some manufacturers have already released the SSD include SanDisk, Kingston and Intel among others.
