7 different types of computer viruses classification according to their destination of infection and its activated form or method of activation:

Virus Master Boot Record (MBR). – Infect the MBR of a hard disk. It can be erased easily without an antivirus clean booting with a floppy disk and running FDISK / MBR from the command line.
